Our sincerest thanks to all of your love and support for Chengdu’s FISU World Conference! The event lasts for three days and will be held in both online and offline, beginning on July 29th and ending on August 1st. We are deeply honored with this opportunity to explore broader horizons for both university sports and for our global society!
This event is of FISU’s most prestigious events, and primarily organized by FISU in joint effort with Chengdu FISU World Conference Committee, along with the Department of FISU Games Village, Chengdu Bureau of Education, and Chengdu Sport University as executive units.
The number of international papers the conference has received are 188 in total, all of them will be reviewed and selected by FISU World Conference Committee’s experts. Only 80 papers will be selected to have a chance in being presented in this conference, with 40 of them being oral reports/presentations, and the rest of the 40 being presented in the poster session for attending members to read. The admission results of domestic papers and relevant information to the participation of the conference are hereby notified as follows:
Paper Admission Results
As mentioned previously, all papers are presented through either an oral report or by poster session. To see the final results please refer to Attachment 1, Chengdu FISU World Conference Paper Admission Results. You are also welcomed to join us in the conference online even if your paper is not admitted, please see our official website for more information to be announced regarding online participation.
Manner of Conferences
The conference consists of the following stages and events: conference opening ceremony, expert and key reports, general exchange of research (including special guests’ oral reports and papers), poster exchange session (Offline event), and an online poster session event. FISU leaders will lead a discussion for important announcements and topics, followed up by an academic exchange session where attendants will be presenting their findings with one another. Attendants during their time here will have the chance to go on trips to experience Chinese culture, with many more other opportunities to travel around the city of Chengdu. All of the above will be either online, offline or both depending on the nature of the event. The main conference will be streamed on various digital platforms for public access.
Special guests and leaders
There will be many special guests and significant leaders attending the conference, with officials coming from UNESCO, the International Olympic Committee, the International University Sports Federation, the Chinese University Sports Association, China’s Bureau of Education, China’s General Administration of Sports, the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government and other relevant units of operation. There also will be Olympic Champions, experts and academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and many more others attending.
Manner of Conferences
The conference will have keynote report, along with exchange of research topics (including special guests’ oral reports and papers), poster exchange session (Offline event), and an online poster session event. The offline conference will have FISU leader discussions, general academic exchange, Chinese tradition and culture exploration trips, and extra opportunities to travel around the city of Chengdu. All of the above will be ran either online or offline depending on the nature of the event, and the conference will have online streams and reports for public access and viewing.
Conference Events
Conference Key Reports
The conference’s organizing committee will invite experts and officials in the aforementioned organizations. Including officials from UNESCO, the International Olympic Committee, the International University Sports Federation and beyond, such as Chinese Engineering academicians and famous experts from countries all around the world as special guest to speak at the conference. All of these figures play a crucial role in the development of international exchange and communication, with each of them having prepared to share new research findings and top of the line academic resources to help facilitate innovation and fusion of the fields of university sports and scientific research.
Academic Topic Research Exchange
a. Special Guest Research Reports:
Invited experts and officials will be presenting a report that will inform attendees on the current state of research in the field and what to look forward to, along with their inspirational findings. Each presentation will be ~20 minutes.
b. Selected Oral Reports
The authors of the selected papers will attend the conference in person to deliver their research findings via oral reports, with each having the maximum time limit of 8 minutes. The research must be reported in English in its entirety and in the format of a Windows (2021-2023) Power-point slide show. The reporter must precisely and eloquently present their results and explain the overall implications of the study.
c. Poster Exchange Session
This event will be utilizing paper walls to create multiple post stands that presents the authors’ research on a single panel. The poster report must follow the instructions and formatting according to the official website (One is allowed to add statistics and relevant images). The format and basic outline of report design and further guidance and information will be published very soon.

b. Application Period
The conference’s registering system will activate on May 4th, 12:00 PM and will subsequently closes on May 12th, 12:00 PM (Beijing Time Zone)
The admissions and selection results will be accessible in the forms Attachment 1, one’s email inbox, or on the official website itself. In the unfortunate circumstance that a representative is unable to attend the offline event, please sign up for the “Online Poster Exchange” option. Any failure or registration of a representative profile or one’s paper will be automatically assumed to have forfeited their chance to attend the conference whether online or not.

Applicants who wish to attend the conference, whether offline or online must confirm their attendance on the website, please refer to Attachment 2 Chengdu FISU World Conference Attendance Application Guide for further information and instructions on how to proceed and complete the application process.
d. Registration Fees
1. All offline attendees must sign up for either the oral report or the poster exchange session. Attendants will have to pay ¥1000 RMB upon arrival at the conference, after paying the registration fee, attendants will receive the following benefits:

2. Those who have registered for the Online Poster exchange are not required to pay any form of registration fees, and will have the benefit of attending the conference digitally, and afterwards will receive a digital certificate.
3. The application systems will begin at 12:00 PM, May 4th, then closes on May 12th, 12:00 PM (Beijing Time Zone). After performing the online application procedures, choose the “Pay at site” payment method to finalize the application.
Other Announcements
a. Academic Attendance Policy
All attending representatives (Offline or Online) must attend all conference events, upon completion the representative will receive a certificate and a printed compilation of papers that have been presented at the conference.
